Navigating the First Amendment landscape

This program will look at the reasons the Founding Fathers believed so strongly in the five freedoms protected by the First Amendment, the way courts apply the First Amendment in practice, Americans’ knowledge of and attitudes about the First Amendment, and how the First Amendment applies in some of the more “hot button” topics in the news today, including “cancel culture,” content moderation on social media, book banning, “fake news” and religious freedom.
